"For over 20 years I have been living in a world of color, textile and creation. From the creations of beauty surrounding me, came the desire to create my own art. In 2006 I started painting and ever since my passion for painting, color and material became a part of me. My need to paint is uncontrolled, incomprehensible - it is simply there. The process of joining the right color with the right textile is what I love, to watch and feel them absorbing one another. Purple, blue and green provide me with a sense of peacefulness; deep turquoise and gold give me strength and light. Aesthetics and Kabala are integrated in my life and are inseparable to my art. Anxiety, fear, running after the unknown - is the motivating forces of my work. Thoughts, feelings and moods are all set loose during the process on the canvas. Scratching and revealing the colors are a direct dialog with the inner conflict I experience. Art calms my thoughts and soul, it centers me. Geometric shapes represent my attempt to control the chaos of thoughts. In most of my pieces I use oil colors on thick linens. The linen absorbs the oil during a fascinating process; while the color dries it changes in front of me and each piece comes to life. Working on each piece is like birth, a new exciting and surprising child is born. My biggest satisfaction is the challenge of sparking an emotion in the observer."
